Will Help Lead Firm's Client Service Excellence and Diversity and Inclusion Initiatives
Gloria Santona, the former Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary of McDonald's Corp., has joined Baker McKenzie as Of Counsel.
Gloria spent nearly 40 years as a member of McDonald's legal team, serving as its chief legal officer from 2001 through 2017. As a member of the company's executive leadership, she was actively involved in its international growth strategy. Widely respected in the legal profession, Gloria was named an Outstanding General Counsel by the National Law Journal and has been recognized as one of America’s Top General Counsel by Corporate Board Member magazine. Under Gloria's leadership, McDonald’s legal department won numerous awards for its commitment to diversity and pro bono.

Gloria will work closely with the Firm's practitioners in delivering high-value legal services focused on our clients' business needs. She will support the Firm's diversity and inclusion efforts and contribute to its industry-focused client initiatives, particularly in the Food & Beverage and Consumer Goods and Retail sectors.

About Gloria Santona
Gloria serves as Director of Aon's Board of Directors and Chair of its Compliance Committee. She is a trustee of Rush University Medical Center and is Vice Chairman of its Audit Committee. Gloria is also a member of the Greater Chicago Food Depository Board of Directors and the National Immigrant Justice Center Leadership Board.
She received her B.S. from Michigan State University and her J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School.
