Quisumbing Torres, in partnership with the European Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines, organized a seminar entitled "Resolve Disputes Faster - Why Arbitration Makes Sense" last 15 March 2018. The event focused on commercial arbitration and investment treaty arbitration, and was attended by in-house counsels and management executives.
QT's Dispute Resolution Practice Group associates, Jay Patrick R. Santiago and Michael T. Macapagal, spoke about Considerations in Drafting Arbitration Clauses and Introduction to Commercial Arbitration, respectively. They were also joined by Leng Sun Chan (Principal, Baker & McKenzie.Wong & Leow), Kevin Nash (Deputy Registrar & Centre Director, Singapore International Arbitration Centre) and Bernadette Ongoco (Executive Director, Office for Alternative Dispute Resolution), who focused on Introduction to Investment Treaty Arbitration, the Investment Arbitration Rules of the Singapore International Arbitration Centre, and the Current Status of the Philippines' Investment Treaties, respectively.
