Scott Brandman has been named Managing Partner of Baker McKenzie's New York office, effective Jan. 1. He succeeds Jim Colihan, who will continue his active corporate practice.
A member of the Firm's North America Tax Practice, Scott joined Baker McKenzie as an associate in 1998 and was elected partner in 2001. During his career at the Firm, he has held a number of management positions, serving on the New York Office Management Committee, the North America Tax Practice Management Committee, and as Chair of the North America Hiring Committee. He has also served on the Firm's Diversity and Inclusion Committee.

Scott's practice includes advising multinational companies on a wide range of both domestic and international tax matters. As global relationship partner for several public and privately-held multinational companies, Scott works closely with clients' senior management teams to ensure seamless service on all Firm representations. His clients include many of the world's largest companies from a variety of industries, including industrial, energy, retail, biopharmaceutical, healthcare, consumer products and technology.
