Baker McKenzie Appoints Rodrigo Ogea as New Managing Partner for its Madrid office
- He replaces José María Alonso, who will be running for the office of President of the Madrid Bar Association.

Baker McKenzie, world leading law firm, has chosen Rodrigo Ogea to be the new managing partner for its Madrid office, starting 1 October 2017.
In his new position, Rodrigo Ogea will be responsible for Baker McKenzie's consolidation as the leading global law firm in Spain, in collaboration with Montserrat Llopart, the managing partner in Baker McKenzie's Barcelona office.

He will be taking over the position from José María Alonso, who will continue to lead the Litigation and Arbitration Department.
Rodrigo Ogea has been managing Baker McKenzie's Tax Department in Madrid since 2008 and is a member of the Steering Committee for the Firm's European Tax Planning and Transactions Group. He specialises in providing tax advice in the area of international investment and restructuring, mergers and acquisitions, private equity, and structured financing. He is recognised by the most important legal directories as one of Spain's most renowned tax lawyers.
