The award ceremony took place on 18 October 2017 at the Burj Al Arab in Dubai. The Firm was also shortlisted for Equity Team of the Year and Restructuring Deal of the Year.
The firm was awarded Equity Deal of the Year for its work as counsel to the Sole Global Coordinator and Joint Bookrunners on the ADES International Holding IPO and listing on the London Stock Exchange. ADES, a leading provider of offshore and onshore oil and gas drilling and production services in the Middle East and Africa, raised gross proceeds of USD 170 million from the listing.
Project Finance Deal of the Year was awarded for our work on Korea Electric Power Corporation's joint development with Emirates Nuclear Energy Corporation of the Barakah nuclear power plant. The USD 24.4 billion project financing was one of the largest ever, and will lead Barakah nuclear power plant to become one of the largest nuclear-generating facilities in the world.
