Baker McKenzie advised AmRest Holdings SE on its acquisition of 42 KFC France restaurants, as well as creating a development agreement and an international franchise agreement for each of the 42 restaurants.
This acquisition will allow AmRest to strengthen its footprint in France, after its acquisition of the Pizza Hut delivery restaurants, which was completed in May 2017. AmRest is planning to open around 150 KFC restaurants in France by the end of 2023. This operation marks a new step in the KFC growth strategy in France using the franchise model and will enable new restaurants to be opened more rapidly.
