Baker McKenzie is pleased to announce that Adam Farlow was recently appointed to lead the Firm's Capital Markets team in Europe, Middle East & Africa.

Adam is a New York and English qualified partner based in London. He has extensive experience in US securities laws and transaction management. His practice focuses on offerings of international debt (primarily high yield), equity and other forms of financing involving companies, investors, major financial institutions and trustees, as well as all forms of restructuring and liability management for debtors, creditors, trustees and dealer managers.

I am very pleased Adam has stepped in to this role, having worked closely with him on many complex deals,
said Koen Vanharents, Global Head of Capital Markets. "He has the right blend of technical, leadership and client skills for the role."

Adam said: "I'm really enjoying the new role – we're very much focused as a team on growing our capital markets focus on Western Europe while maintaining our leading emerging markets position. We've been very busy in most of our markets, particularly Belgium, Italy, Turkey and Sweden, and are now continuing to build our strength in capital markets in London, alongside recent senior hires in PE and Finance.  We are pleased with our recent recognitions in the rankings and league tables and major panel wins, but most importantly the feedback we are receiving from clients – it shows we are delivering on our vision to be the global law firm of choice."

Baker McKenzie has more than 200 capital markets lawyers across the EMEA region.

Adam replaces Edward Bibko, who served two terms in the role, stepping down in June this year ahead of joining investment bank Jefferies in a senior in-house role.
