Baker McKenzie has been named the "Best M&A Legal Consultancy Firm" at the recent Vietnam M&A Forum 2017 held on 10 August. This is the third consecutive year that the Firm has taken home the grand prize.
In addition, the Firm was recognized for advising Lafarge Holcim on its strategic divestment, which was awarded "The Best Acquisition Deal" as well as for advising the underwriters on the listing of Vietnam’s first and largest privately owned new-age airline, Vietjet, which was awarded "The IPO of the Year" award. In particular, the transactions were led by and involved Seck Yee Chung, Nguyen Lan Phuong and David Scott; and Nguyen Hoang Kim Oanh and Dang Linh Chi, respectively.
The judges commended Baker McKenzie for "providing comprehensive consultancy on all trading deals for firms, solving every case with a wide range of experience of the market, which it has achieved during its more than 20 years of operations in Vietnam".
