Global law firm Baker McKenzie announced two promotions in its Almaty and Moscow offices, which will further strengthen the Firm’s position in the CIS region and span a range of multijurisdictional practices — Dispute Resolution and International Commercial & Trade. The promotions are effective from 1 July 2017.
Vladimir Efremov has been promoted to partner in Moscow, and Andrei Yorsh is now a partner in the Almaty office.

For the second consecutive year, Chambers Europe has ranked the Firm in band 1 in Corporate/Commercial in the CIS. In 2017, Chambers Europe named Baker McKenzie the Law Firm of the Year in Russia and Ukraine.
Globally, Baker McKenzie has elected 80 new partners, bringing the total number of partners in the Firm to nearly 1,600. Over 400 of these are women ‒ the most of any law firm.
