Baker McKenzie has been named number one legal brand in Asia Pacific, according to the Acritas Asia Pacific Law Firm Brand Index 2017. The Firm returns to top position after narrowly coming second in 2016.
Baker McKenzie ranked top for key index measures, including multi-jurisdictional litigation, multi-jurisdictional deal work and overall M&A. The Firm also ranked highly in awareness, favourability and high value legal work.
The ranking is based on interviews with 491 senior legal services buyers based in Asia Pacific, including in-house counsel. The Index also covered representatives of multinational companies who were asked about their high value legal work in Asia Pacific.
Gary Seib, Chair, Asia Pacific, Baker McKenzie, said:
Baker McKenzie has high value, multi-jurisdictional work at its core. That is why we are so delighted to receive this recognition from both clients and potential clients.
"The world is increasingly complex, and corporates tell us that what they want most out of a legal services provider is the ability to navigate and simplify these complexities. This is our purpose as a law firm, and what will drive us as we continue to grow and innovate alongside our clients."
Baker McKenzie is the leading full service law firm in Asia Pacific, with 17 offices in 12 jurisdictions across the region. It continues to see strong organic growth globally and in the region, including bringing on a number of lateral partners in the year to date, particularly in China.
