The Baker McKenzie Dispute Resolution team in Germany won the 2017 Award for "Excellence in Mediation and Conflict Management". The prize was awarded by a jury, appointed by the Roundtable Mediation and Conflict Management of the German Economy ('RTMKM'). It was presented at the 27th plenary session of RTMKM at the Airbus Operations GmbH in Hamburg.
The honorary prize for "Excellence in Mediation and Conflict Management" was awarded for the very first time to a law firm based on particular commitment to the field of conflict management. RTMKM presented Baker McKenzie with the award, on the grounds that it offers the most advanced services in mediation and conflict management among the nominated law firms.
We are delighted that our innovative service offer and the projects we manage for our clients were able to convince the jury, and that our team was in the position to compete with other high-calibre applicants during this presentation in Hamburg,
commented Prof. Jörg Risse, Dispute Resolution Partner in Frankfurt.
The Federal Minister of Justice, Heiko Maas, took the patronage of this initiative, which he explained as follows: "I welcome the endeavor to make a valuable contribution in situations with conflicts and to work towards cooperative solutions in the appropriate cases. The development in the direction of an alternative conflict culture is accompanied by changed expectations regarding the services of legal service providers and consultants."
Baker McKenzie is one of the few top ranked law firms in the field of mediation / arbitration by the German guide to the legal profession JUVE and is highly regarded not only in the German market.
