Baker McKenzie and its member firms have advised on two deals that were awarded "Deal of the Year" at the IJ Global Awards, which was held in Singapore on 9 March.
The IJ Global Awards recognizes the best energy, infrastructure and mining deals that closed in 2016 from around the world.

The winning IJ Global transcations include:
- Asia Pacific Wind Deal of the Year - Baker McKenzie Wong & Leow, member firm of Baker & McKenzie in Singapore advised the sponsors, Newcom and Softbank Group, on the development and financing for the construction of the 50MW Tstesii Wind Farm in southern Mongolia. This was the second wind farm project that was successfully developed by the private sector in Mongolia.
- Asia Pacific Hydro Deal of the Year - Baker McKenzie Wong & Leow together with Indonesian member firm, Hadiputranto Hadinoto & Partners, advised LG International, Titan Group and PT Binsar Natorang Energi, on the development and financing of a 3x13 MW Hasang run of river hydro- power project in North Sumatra, Indonesia.
