Will Holder and Carl Richards are joining the London office of leading global law firm Baker McKenzie in the M&A/Private Equity and Employment practices respectively.
Both join from King & Wood Mallesons (KWM) along with 5 associates.
Will Holder has over 20 years experience across Corporate M&A and Private Equity, with a particular focus on technology, sports, media and entertainment. He will work closely with a number of partners including David Allen, who leads the Private Equity Funds team and Charles Whitefoord who leads the TMT M&A team to drive growth in the transactional space, particularly in complex, cross border, multi-practice deals.
Will was also Head of KWM's China Group and spent 10 months seconded to its Chinese offices. His expertise and knowledge of this market will complement our existing China practice.
Carl Richards was Head of Employment at KWM and has extensive experience of advising on the employment aspects of corporate transactions, including complex carve outs. He has also worked in the areas of funds and brings strong experience of the employment/incentives aspects of fund set up, disputes, and some stand alone work for funds. Carl will join the Employment practice working alongside partner John Evason.
