Jennifer Molnar has returned to Baker McKenzie as a Partner in the North American Tax Practice, adding 16 years of experience providing tax planning and transactional advice to multinational corporations.

Ms. Molnar handles tax planning for international acquisitions, dispositions, reorganizations, joint ventures, Subpart F planning and restructurings. In addition, she counsels clients on the tax issues of structuring, negotiating, documenting and reporting complex transactions.  Ms. Molnar was an associate at Baker McKenzie from 2001 to 2006.

Ms. Molnar has advised on the tax aspects of some of the largest cross-border mergers and spin-offs in recent years. Some of her recent representative matters include:

  • Serving as tax counsel to a leading food & beverage company in its spinoff from a North American grocery business.
  • Advising a cable telecommunications company on cost sharing and transfer pricing arrangements in connection with international operations.
  • Serving as tax counsel for multinational European acquisition.

Ms. Molnar is the latest in a series of seasoned tax practitioners to join Baker McKenzie in North America, including trusts and estates lawyer David Berek in Chicago, tax planning attorney Patrick Cox in New York and real estate and partnership taxation lawyers Dan Cullen in Chicago and Steven Schneider in Washington, DC. In addition, state and local tax practitioners Maria Eberle and Lindsay LaCava recently joined in New York.

Ms. Molnar rejoins the Firm from Sutherland Asbill & Brennan. Ms. Molnar received her B.A. from the University of California at San Diego, her J.D. from the University of San Diego School of Law and her LL.M. from New York University School of Law.
