Stéphane Davin appointed head of EMEA Mergers & Acquisitions
Stéphane Davin, 45 years’ old, Partner in charge of the Mergers & Acquisitions/Corporate law department at the Paris office has been appointed head of EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) for Baker & McKenzie’s Mergers & Acquisitions practice. This appointment is in addition to the position he currently holds in the Paris office.
Stéphane Davin was appointed to this position due to the expertise he has developed over more than 20 years with the firm in domestic and cross-border merger and acquisition operations. Stéphane Davin also plays a very active role in joint-venture operations. He regularly advises enterprises specialising in various fields such as aeronautics and defence, luxury goods, the banking sector, the pharmaceutical and chemical industry during the different stages of their external growth and partnership operations.
As part of his new role, Stéphane Davin will be tasked with defining and coordinating the development strategy for this activity for the 38 offices within the EMEA area, in close collaboration with the different partners of the EMEA Mergers & Acquisitions practice.
Stéphane Davin joined Baker & McKenzie in 1995 and was made partner in July 2008. In 2000 he was seconded to the Chicago office of Baker & McKenzie to the Corporate and Securities department where he worked on and supervised major international acquisition operations.Admitted to the Paris bar in 1997, he has a diplôme de juriste-conseil d’entreprise from the University of Montpellier and a post-graduate diploma in industrial and trade agreements law from the University of Montpellier.
