Last Saturday, 14 March 2020, the Spanish Government issued Royal Decree 463/2020, declaring a state of emergency, with the aim of managing the health crisis caused by COVID-19. The Decree, which affects the entire Spanish territory and is enforceable for an initial period of 15 calendar days, as from 14 March 2020, includes a number of immediately applicable measures; such as a restriction of people's freedom of movement, temporary closing of a wide range of establishments to the public and the suspension of procedural and administrative deadlines.
