The Coronavirus (COVID-19) has now spread well beyond France to other parts of Europe and Luxembourg where the government declared the state of emergency. As a result of these developments, the Baker McKenzie Luxembourg office has launched its business continuity plan since last Monday with the primary goal to assure the health and safety of our staff and our clients.
It consists of the following measures:
- All our members work from home together with the 6,000 other Baker McKenzie colleagues around the world. Our Firm enjoys a long standing and tested remote working program supported by our robust and sustainable IT systems and infrastructure. We are able to ensure continuity under the best condition for our clients in terms of confidentiality.
- All physical meetings or events have been postponed or re-arranged through video-audio conferences.
Given the scale of the COVID-19 crisis, we have also to be realistic and conscious that timing deliveries may be extended. We thank you in advance for your patience and understanding. We encourage everyone to be diligent and regularly check the specific requirements in your country and guidelines issued on the websites of the World Health Organization. The Baker McKenzie lawyers and professional staff follow these guidelines.
Please do not hesitate to contact your attorney or adviser should you have any questions.
