Corporate Criminal Liability for Corruption Offenses – Law 27,401
Law 27,401 was published today in the Official Gazette (the Law), by means of which it will impose sanctions to legal entities for offenses against the Public Administration and/or corruption, such as national and transnational bribery and influence peddling, improper and unlawful transactions of public officials, illegal exaction committed by a public official, illicit enrichment of public officials and employees, and false balance sheets and reports.
According to Section 39, the Law will be effective after 90 days counted as of its publication in the Official Gazette. Therefore, the Law will be effective on March 2, 2018.
