Electric Infrastructure - Renewable Energies
- On 30 November 2016, Resolution No. 455/2016 of the Federal Secretary of Energy (Secretary) extended until 13 January 2017 the term to submit electro‑energetic infrastructure preliminary projects under the auction called by Resolution No. 420/2016 of the Secretary. - On 25 November 2016, the Ministry of Energy and Mining (Ministry) informed the results and projects awarded under Rounds 1 and 1.5 of the RenovAr Program. 30 projects were added under Round 1.5 for 1,281.5 MW to the 29 projects awarded under Round 1 for 1,141.95 MW. - On 15 December 2016, the Ministry informed that Green Climate Fund approved the “Catalyzing Private Investment in Sustainable Energy in Argentina” program, which will be managed by the Interamerican Development Bank, and will grant USD130 million to finance loans and/or financial guarantees in a 15-18 years term to be applied in projects awarded under the RenovAr Program.
- In accordance with journalistic information, Round 2 of the RenovAr Program is intended to be launched in March/April.
