Developments in Cannabis Law: Canada and the United States

In October, Canada legalized recreational marijuana.  In the United States, recreational marijuana is now legal in 10 states and medical marijuana is legal in 33. Congress is currently considering various pieces of legislation that would further liberalize marijuana use and Attorney General Barr has said that he does not intend to prosecute those who comply with state law.  What has happened in Canada since legalization? What is likely to happen next in the US? What can Canada's experience tell us about the future of the US? What are the implications for companies operating in both the US and Canada and what do they need to know in order to ensure compliance with US and Canadian law?

Join Baker McKenzie lawyers Tom Firestone and Vanessa Voakes on March 19 at 12:00 EST as they discuss these and related issues.
