Description

The PMO Project Manager will be part of the Delivery Management Team and Program Management Office (PMO), and will be accountable for the planning, management and delivery of project and initiatives within the Operations division.


Responsibilities:

Strategize and guide global transformation of Operations services (ex. Travel, Facilities, Support Services) across 77 global offices
Act as a thought leader and key subject matter expert for transformation initiatives in the legal industry, displaying and communicating expertise and recommendations to senior leadership
Oversee and deliver on multiple, simultaneous, critical projects in partnership with the global Operations leaders, service owners and in-market business partners
Provide team leadership, including day-to-day management and oversight of project analysts, ensuring quality and performance as well as mentorship and coaching of stakeholders to realize project success
Lead and drive quarterly business reviews and weekly scrum sessions with broader project team
Support the building, and maintaining, of core PMO governance materials including project schedule, communications and change management plans, resource allocations, training and dependencies
Manage issues with a strong focus on the identification, analysis, response and escalation of key project risks; communicate risk effectively in order to protect project schedule
Ensure project quality and compliance through effective integration into the PMO and the adherence to established standards and methodology
Focus on value-based outcomes both quantitatively and qualitatively, emphasizing data-driven decision making
 

Skills and Experience:

Direct experience leading transformation and organizational change programs within Professional Services firms, including leading teams of project, change and operational managers
Strong understanding of the legal and professional services industry, operations and best practices and/or administrative services
Bachelor's degree related to business, organizational change and/or a related field or equivalent work experience
Strong post-college project management or transformation consulting experience, specifically working with legal and professional services clients
Experience in relationship building, gaining consensus, and adoption methods and working directly with senior counterparts on strategy and execution
Project Management Professional or PRINCE2 Practitioner certification (strongly preferred)
Continued drive for excellence and high quality, despite frequent iterations, changes in priority, scope and stakeholders
Excellent collaboration skills and comfortable with an agile and iterative development process that includes accepting and managing feedback from various stakeholders
Excellent English language skills (verbal and written) and the confidence to communicate in a multi-cultural, multi-level environment
Excellent time management and organizational skills; ability to prioritise and manage time to meet deadlines
Strong presentation and documentation skills
Have confidence and experience in a deadline driven environment
Disciplined and thoughtful approach to client focus and consultation
