The opportunity:

The Business Development and Marketing Assistant Manager - Global Healthcare & Life Sciences (HCLS) and Technology will support Sector BD leads in programs promoting the Groups' services to drive more profitable, institutionalized client relationships. This role will support the creation of the group's value proposition and assist in communication through core marketing materials and engaging campaigns and events. The role holder will assist Business Development (BD) leads in developing distinctive client solution(s) to equip our partners to sell/capture high-value client work and establish the firm as counsel of choice. They will also support profile-raising programs (thought leadership, seminars, etc.).

About the role:

As part of this role, the successful candidate will:

Responsibilities:

Client

  • Research target global clients 
  • Collate research and client intelligence to understand market needs and the competitive landscape 
  • Support implementation of  strategic BD programs 
  • Provide content for input into cross-regional high-value pitches

Sector Marketing:

  • Support BD leads in the creation of differentiated value propositions and associated messaging and integrate them into core marketing materials
  • Support and keep updated update a core set of client-facing global marketing materials to include; global capability statements, pitch materials, curated list of landmark deals and matters, case studies
  • Assist in the delivery of high-impact events to deliver a pipeline of opportunities and ROI

Sector Services and Solutions:

  • Support the creation of service and solution materials including identification and promotion of related experts and experience

Brand and profile:

  • Assist in the development of high-impact global campaigns to raise the profile of the group and selected lawyers 
  • Support BD Leads on internal global townhalls and strategic communications

Skills and Experience:

  • Degree in business, finance, economics, communications, marketing, or related subject
  • Strong experience working in a legal business development or comparable professional services marketing/business development environment
  • Excellent critical thinking and analysis skills and experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong verbal and written English 
  • Strong project management skills
  • A high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and independent with excellent time management skills and ability to manage multiple stakeholders. Able to work with a minimum of supervision but also a strong and enthusiastic team player
  • Proficient in various MS Office applications including but not limited to Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel 
  • Experience working in an international organization is a plus
  • Prior experience working in a virtual team setting is preferred but not required
