Christine A. Sloan is a partner in the Firm’s North America Tax Practice Group in Washington, DC. She is nationally known for handling complex corporate and partnership tax matters. Ms. Sloan regularly speaks at national conferences and client seminars on current corporate and partnership tax issues. She is a contributor to various journals, including Tax Notes International and Journal of Passthrough Entities.
Practice Focus
Ms. Sloan routinely advises clients on a broad spectrum of tax issues facing companies engaged in complex mergers and acquisitions, including post-acquisition and pre-disposition restructurings. She has worked on some of the largest and most complex bankruptcies in US history and has experience in representing purchasers acquiring distressed assets or businesses from companies in bankruptcy. Ms. Sloan also assists clients in securing IRS private letter rulings, IRS pre-filing agreements and IRS closing agreements.
