Baker & McKenzie Elects New Managing Partner for Germany and Austria

Frankfurt, 2 July 2012 – Dr. Constanze Ulmer-Eilfort was elected new Managing Partner for the German and Austrian offices of Baker & McKenzie effective as of 1 July, 2012. The managing Partner is elected for a three year term at Baker & McKenzie.
Ulmer-Eilfort specializes in IP Law and Media Law and advises clients in the Life Sciences and Media industries. The mother of three children joined Baker & McKenzie in 1994, becoming partner in 1998. She began her career at Baker & McKenzie in the Frankfurt office – today she works out of the Munich office.

For the first time in Germany and Austria, the Firm has elected a female Managing Partner. But Baker & McKenzie globally has a tradition of female leadership. Christine Lagarde, today Chief of the IMF, was Chairman of the firm between 1999 and 2004.
