Philippe Lion joined Baker & McKenzie in 2003 and was admitted to the Brussels’ bar in the same year. He was made partner in 2003. His areas of practice are General tax planning, Tax advice for M&A, Real Estate taxation and Global tax minimization. Mr. Philippe Lion is a member of the Firm’s Tax Practice Group in Brussels and is currently the Chair of the Steering Committee of Baker & McKenzie’s European Tax Transaction Group.
Practice Focus
Mr. Lion advises Belgian and foreign companies on all aspects of corporate and international tax. He assists them in inbound and outbound planning strategies and in their merger and acquisition transactions, including assistance in due diligence, advice on tax efficient acquisition structures, tax efficient disposal of assets or companies and drafting of appropriate contractual tax related documentation. His practice also focuses on real estate transactions.
