Pál Takács serves as managing partner of the Firm’s Budapest office, where he heads the Private Equity and co-heads the M&A/Corporate practice groups. He advises blue chip Hungarian and multinational companies on M&A transactions in a broad range of industry sectors. He also advises on private equity, corporate and labor issues. Mr. Takács is considered a leading M&A and private equity lawyer in Hungary, with Chambers Global 2009 noting "his excellent negotiation skills." He is a member of the Hungarian Venture Capital Association and the Firm's Private Equity and Venture Capital practice group. Mr. Takács has published several articles on labor law and mergers and acquisitions in third party publications, and has also contributed to a number of Firm publications.
Practice Focus
Mr. Takács focuses on M&A transactions, and has considerable experience in advising clients in regulated industries on concessions and corporate and commercial law. He advises a wide range of clients — including organs of the Hungarian State — international investment banks and other financial institutions, as well as foreign and Hungarian private investors. As head of the Securities & Finance practice group, Mr. Takács oversees the work of lawyers advising on financing, securities and capital markets matters. He also provides corporate, commercial and labor advice, and is chief external legal advisor to several multinational companies.
