Australian Governments Adopt National Alliance Contracting Policy and Guidelines

On 4 August 2011 the Council of Australian governments (representing Commonwealth, State and Territory governments) released the National Alliance Contracting Policy and Guidelines (Guidelines), intended to provide a consistent national approach to achieving value for money outcomes from alliance projects. The Guidelines mandate a framework within which it is intended governments will enter into relationship contracting arrangements while satisfying public standards of transparency and accountability.
