Our track record

• Our involvement advising the project sponsor, China National Petroleum Company, on the financing for a USD11 billion dual pipeline project across Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan to the People’s Republic of China merited recognition in China and throughout Asia: Project Finance Deal of the Year 2009 Asian Legal Business, Hong Kong Law Awards; Project Finance Deal of the Year 2009 China Law & Practice Awards; Deal of the Year 2008 Asian Counsel and Project Finance Deal of the Year 2008 ALB China Law Awards.
• We received recognition for advising the Hong Kong and Shanghai Banking Corporation Limited and the other mandated lead arrangers on a USD400 million project financing to PTT Asahi Chemical Company Limited for the development, construction and operation of a 200,000 metric ton per annum acrylonitrile production facility and an associated 70,000 metric ton per annum methyl methacrylate monomer production facility at Map Ta Phut, Rayong, Thailand: Asia Pacific Petrochemicals Deal of the Year 2008 Euromoney Project Finance.
• Our work for Saudi Arabian Mining Company (Ma’aden) and Saudi Basic Industries Corporation, the joint sponsors of Ma’aden Phosphate Company, in relation to the financing and development of a USD5.6 billion phosphate mine and sulfuric acid, phosphoric acid, ammonia and DAP plants gained multiple awards: Middle East Industrial Deal of the Year Award 2008, Project Finance International; Project Finance Deal of the Year 2008, IFLR; Middle East Islamic Deal of the Year, Euromoney Project Finance.
