Pro Bono & Community
Baker & McKenzie has a strong commitment to providing pro bono legal services and the New York office furthers this mission by participating in a broad range of community outreach projects. The New York office helps provide access to the legal system to those who otherwise could not afford access. From providing pro bono legal support to refugees seeking asylum to partnering with community organizations for local volunteer projects, the New York office works to make a difference in the community in which we operate through the contribution of pro bono legal advice and community outreach.
Client Teaming
Baker & McKenzie has been at the forefront of client teaming on pro bono matters, making the Firm a trusted and experienced collaborator. As a large law firm with extensive experience and highly qualified personnel, we can participate in projects with in-house counsel in a fashion that best suits the time commitment, contribution, and staff and resource allocation that is most feasible for our commercial clients. We work with in-house counsel to devise a mutually agreeable plan that reasonably allocates responsibilities and tasks, appeals to in-house lawyers’ substantive interests and experience, and suits the schedules, resources, and other logistical concerns of in-house counsel.
