Our Banking & Finance Group helps meet a wide range of needs, challenges and opportunities faced by banks, trust banks, investment banks, securities companies and other financial institutions worldwide. We regularly act for major Japanese and international financial institutions, borrowers and investors on a range of transactional banking work, such as corporate finance, project/export finance, PFI, acquisition finance, real estate finance and structured finance transactions, including JBIC and NEXI supported transactions.
We also support the regulatory and compliance teams at financial institutions, as well as domestic and global market participants in the funds, financial products, derivatives and commodities markets (especially in relation to oil, gas, power, precious metals and carbon). Team members are active in government and industry groups and committees, including those organized by the Japanese government, ISDA and IETA.
