Senior Counsel Joins Baker & McKenzie.Wong & Leow in Singapore

Singapore, 4 Oct 2011 – Baker & McKenzie.Wong & Leow, the member firm of Baker & McKenzie International in Singapore, is pleased to announce the appointment of Senior Counsel Chan Leng Sun as a principal in the Dispute Resolution Practice Group. Leng Sun joins the Firm from Ang & Partners in Singapore where he was an equity partner since 2004.

In the course of over 18 years of legal experience, Leng Sun has accumulated a wealth of experience in litigation and arbitration in the shipping, trade and commerce, oil and insurance sectors and is an arbitrator and adjudicator on the panel of various institutions in Singapore, Malaysia and China, including SIAC, SCMA, KLRCA, CIETAC and CMAC. He has sat as a President of the Disciplinary Tribunal, on the Income Tax Board of Review and on the Maintenance of Parents Tribunal. Leng Sun also chairs the Singapore Law Society ADR Committee and is Vice-President of the Singapore Institute of Arbitrators.
Leng Sun began his career with Mah-Kok & Din (now Raja, Darryl & Loh) in 1988 in Kuala Lumpur, joined Ang & Partners in 1993 and worked with the United Nations Compensation Commission in Geneva on a sabbatical from 2002-2003. He has lectured at the National University of Singapore and Singapore Management University and continues to be an active speaker at the leading arbitrations events in the region. Leng Sun has also published widely on arbitration, international trade and maritime topics.
