Robertson to Head Baker & McKenzie’s Global BD and Marketing Team

Chicago, IL, January 25, 2010 – Baker & McKenzie announced today that Laurie R. Robertson has been named its Global Director of Business Development & Marketing, a new position which combines the two global functions at the Firm.
For the last decade, Robertson has served in various global business development and marketing roles with Clifford Chance in London. Since 2007, he has been that firm’s Global Head of Business Development. Before joining the legal industry, Robertson held senior positions in the London, Tokyo and Toronto offices of J. Walter Thompson.
Robertson has an MA in Jurisprudence from University College at Oxford and has also attended management courses at INSEAD and Harvard Business School. He will start in early May 2010 and will be based in New York.
