Chicago, USA, July 18, 2012 – Baker & McKenzie Partner Helen Mantel was recognized by the M&A Advisor organization in its annual 40 Under 40 awards. The awards recognize “emerging leaders of the M&A, financing and turnaround industries,” who were selected from a pool of accomplished nominees by an independent judging panel of distinguished business leaders.
Ms. Mantel is a member of the Firm’s M&A Practice. She advises multinational companies on their complex cross-border transactions and generally as they expand their operations around the globe. She is a member of the Chicago office hiring committee. Prior to joining the Chicago office, Ms. Mantel worked in the Firm’s London and Moscow offices.
In addition, Partner Michael DeFranco was named as a finalist for this recognition. Mr. DeFranco is also a M&A partner in Chicago, and advises multinational companies in both public and private acquisitions and divestitures.
