Leading Lawyer Joakim Falkner Appointed Partner at Baker & McKenzie Stockholm

Stockholm, Sweden, 19 June 2012 – Joakim Falkner has been appointed partner at Baker & McKenzie’s Stockholm office effective 1 July 2012. He joins Baker & McKenzie from White & Case.

He is active in the fields of securities, mergers and acquisitions, corporate law and corporate governance and has advised clients on Capital Market transactions under Swedish, US as well as English law. This year, Mr. Falkner was listed as Leading Lawyer in the Capital Markets segment of IFLR1000.
In 2008, he was appointed national representative of Sweden by the Young Lawyers Committee, a segment within the International Bar Association. During 2010 and 2011, Mr. Falkner practiced international capital markets in London with the previous US law firm and was qualified to practice in England and Wales in 2012. In Sweden, he was admitted to practice in 2007.
Joakim Falkner received his law degree from Uppsala University in 2002 and has a Master of Laws from Suffolk University in Boston, USA.
