Palo Alto, USA, July 12, 2012 – Cynthia Jackson has been elected Chair of Baker & McKenzie’s North America Compensation and Employment Law Practice Group. She takes over from Rick Hammett, Chair since 2005, who will serve in the group’s Management Committee and as Managing Partner of the Houston office. Ms. Jackson will assume a position in the Firm’s Global Employment Steering Committee.
Ms. Jackson joined Baker & McKenzie as a Partner in 1999. She has over 30 years of experience working on domestic and international employment counseling and litigation, where she has been consistently recognized as a leader by
Chambers USA, Legal 500, Best Lawyers of America, Northern California Super Lawyers, and
America’s Leading Lawyers for Business. She has served as head of the Firm’s Northern California Employment Practice, and in the North America Employment and Corporate Compliance steering committees.

The practice has more than 100 lawyers working seamlessly across 9 offices in US and Canadian financial centers in the key disciplines of Employment Counseling and Litigation, Executive Compensation and Employee Benefits, Global Equity Services, Global Employment and Labor Law, and Global Immigration and Mobility.
