Baker & McKenzie Advises Sika on Acquisition of the Automotive Glass Replacement Business of ADCO

New York, NY, March 15, 2010 – Baker & McKenzie LLP advised Sika Corporation, the U.S. subsidiary of global specialty chemical manufacturer Sika AG, in the acquisition of ADCO’s automotive glass replacement adhesive systems business.
The acquired business will be integrated into Sika’s Aftermarket Business Unit in the United States and its Industry Division in Canada and Latin America. As part of the transaction, Sika acquired the rights to the “Titan” brand name of auto glass adhesives. In addition, several sales representatives from ADCO’s AGR (Automotive Glass Replacement) division are expected to join Sika’s existing sales force team, currently the largest sales force in the US AGR Market. The transaction closed on March 8, 2010.
