Pro Bono & Community Service | Diversity & Inclusion | Sustainability
At Baker & McKenzie, we don't just give to the community, we invest in it. As global citizens, our Corporate Social Responsibility Program comes naturally. Since our founding in 1949, we've hired local lawyers to staff our worldwide offices, establishing a culture of diversity and in-depth knowledge of the places where we live and work.
We focus our Corporate Social Responsibility efforts on three categories: pro bono and community service, diversity and inclusion, and sustainability.
With more than 3,700 lawyers working in 44 countries, we leverage our global network and legal skills to work on complex, cross-border pro bono projects that meaningfully advance fundamental rights and opportunities for people in need throughout the world.
As the first truly global law firm, we embrace diversity among our lawyers, staff and clients. We know from experience that having a variety of backgrounds and perspectives leads to practical solutions and innovation.
A pioneer in climate change law, our firm’s respect for the environment extends to how we do business. Our commitment to sustainability is reflected in our efforts to reduce our environmental footprint through initiatives like recycling, alternative energy use and carbon offsets.
