Customs Union’s new toy safety regulations now in force We provide an overview of the Customs Union’s new toy safety regulations, which set out requirements for raw materials, hygienic safety, packaging and labeling of children’s toys imported into, marketed and distributed in Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan. The regulations took effect on 1 July 2012.		Cooperation between competitors restricted in public biddings Joint ventures between competitors may provide a basis for public bidding exclusion, as shown by two recent decisions of the Higher State Court of Dusseldorf. We provide an overview of the court’s rulings and outline the consequences companies face for forming bidding consortia with competitors.		Stricter controls on Taiwan high-tech exports and imports Taiwan’s Bureau of Foreign Trade amends regulations governing the import and export of strategic high-tech commodities to better safeguard against the risk of these items being used for weapons of mass destruction. We outline the processes companies should consider updating.
