Our team of finance lawyers gained valuable experience working on financial restructurings back in 1998, during Russia's first economic crisis, when we represented a number of major foreign banks in connection with restructurings and insolvency proceedings.
Since the beginning of the current financial turmoil, we have been involved in a number of corporate loan restructurings, including representing a large syndicate of foreign banks on a complex, high-profile restructuring of a loan to a major Russian manufacturing company. Our lawyers have assisted clients with the complex restructurings of their securitization transactions and winding-up of existing deals. We advise clients on restructuring domestic bonds and Eurobonds, including LPNs and CLNs, and are spearheading an initiative for an organization of holders of Russian corporate bonds, the Moscow Club.
PLC Which Lawyer? recommended our practice in the areas of Banking & Finance and Restructuring & Insolvency in 2009.
