Robert Mignin represents and counsels clients in all areas of labor and employment law and employment litigation. He is listed in the 2009 Who’s Who Legal: An International Who’s Who of Business Lawyers (joint publication of the IBA and ABA) as one of the leading management labour and employment attorneys in Illinois; PLC’s 2009/10 Guide to Labour and Employee Benefits as one of the leading labor and employment attorney in Illinois; Mr. Mignin was also designated in 2009 as a member of the Leading Lawyers Network for management labor and employment attorneys. In 2007, Mr. Mignin was elected to the College of Labor and Employment Lawyers, Inc., which is a professional association honoring the leading lawyers in the United States in the practice of labor and employment law. Mr. Mignin served as the Chair of the Employment Industrial Relations Law Committee of the International Bar Association for 2008 and 2009.

Practice Focus

Mr. Mignin’s practice focuses on representing national clients in single-plaintiff and class action employment and discrimination (Title VII, ADEA, and ADA) litigation, including class and collective wage and hour litigation employers. He also represents clients in matters pertaining to union organizing activities, labor negotiations and preparing for collective bargaining, labor arbitration and litigation before the National Labor Relations Board. Mr. Mignin also provides ongoing and regular advice to businesses on corporate reorganization and workforce restructuring including downsizing, mergers, acquisitions, insolvency, collective bargaining strategy and cost containment. Mr. Mignin regularly advises domestic and international clients in developing HR policies, corporate compliance programs and alternative methods of resolving employment disputes. Mr. Mignin regularly conducts workshops on discrimination and sexual harassment in the workplace, workplace investigations, and maintaining a positive employee relations and litigation free work environment.
