Biography

André Pesch is part of the Firm’s tax team in Luxembourg and he has been practising in the country since 1993. He is a member of several workshops and experts groups from the European Commission, the Luxembourg Bankers’ Association (ABBL) and of the Association of Luxembourg Fund Industry (ALFI). Prior to joining Baker McKenzie, Mr. Pesch was head of the Luxembourg Financial Services Offering tax department and co-head of the EMEA Asset Management tax group of one of the world’s leading International accounting firms. Prior to working for this firm, he was the European Tax Director for a large US based multinational. André Pesch is admitted to the New York bar since 1993.

Practice Focus

Mr. Pesch has extensive experience in advising on Luxembourg tax issues related to tax efficient investment -, holding -, financing - and IP structures. His clientele encompasses many multinationals, financial institutions (banks, insurance companies) and asset managers (alternative and retail). He often intervenes in the tax analysis of capital market transactions and the development of structured products.
