Baker McKenzie elects new Managing Partner in Germany and Austria
Dr. Matthias Scholz was elected Managing Partner of the Baker McKenzie German and Austria offices effective as of 1 July 2017. Baker McKenzie elects its Managing Partner in the region for a term of three years.
Matthias Scholz is an expert in IT and telecommunications law. He advises international companies on all aspects of IT law and data protection. He started his career in Baker McKenzie's Chicago office in 1989 and has been an attorney in the Frankfurt office since 1990. In the years 1995/1996 Matthias Scholz worked in the London office of the firm. As a partner of the global firm since 1997 he led the German / Austrian IT practice group for many years. In addition, Scholz headed the European Information Technology & Communication practice group for more than ten years.
