Kimberly A. Prior is a partner in the Banking, Finance and Major Projects Practice Group and is located in Baker McKenzie’s Miami office. Her practice primarily focuses on advising domestic and international financial services firms and businesses regarding compliance, regulatory and corporate matters. Kim is a frequent speaker on issues affecting the financial services industry. She is an adjunct professor at University of Miami School of Law teaching an advanced seminar on current issues in financial institution mergers and acquisitions. She was recently ranked in Chambers as an "Up and Coming" in Banking & Finance: Regulatory in Florida.
Kim regularly advises banks, broker-dealers and investment advisory firms on a wide range of regulatory, transactional and corporate matters, including cross-border and international products, services and transactions. She has extensive experience in mergers and acquisitions, establishing and expanding financial institutions and private equity funds as well as structuring and documenting investment products and services. She also provides corporate counsel in banking and securities regulatory enforcement matters.
