Across the regions, our EMEA professionals participate in a wide range of corporate social responsibility initiatives, including:
- Serving as a business ambassador of War Child, a network of organizations that helps children affected by war express their emotions and work on their personal development through music, sports and other creative activities. (Amsterdam office)
- Providing legal assistance on negotiating peace agreements and post-conflict constitutions for the Public International Law and Policy Group. (London office)
- Contributing funds and negotiating the sales and purchase agreement for the acquisition of a cytofluroimeter for the children’s ward of the Institute of Oncology of Ukraine that will help improve the life expectancy of patients by enabling doctors to determine more efficient forms of treatment at earlier stages of cancer. (Kyiv office)
- Providing free legal advice to the TVN Foundation, a humanitarian organization devoted to improving educational programs and health and social services for the poor. (Warsaw office)
Our EMEA offices are also dedicated to monitoring and mitigating their environmental impact. Our London office, for example, composts food waste. Our Warsaw office uses a specialist company to recycle batteries and old electronic equipment.
As the first truly global law firm, our business model is based on having a people from different backgrounds and cultures work together across practices and borders to best serve our clients. We were the first global firm to elect a female chairman, Christine Lagarde, now the managing director of the International Monetary Fund.
