Mr. Schroeder is a frequent speaker on topics such as corporate mergers and acquisitions, domestic and international planning, joint ventures and partnerships and various tax controversy topics. He also is a frequent contributor to Baker & McKenzie’s North America Tax Practice Group’s monthly newsletter, Tax News and Developments.
Mr. Schroeder focuses his practice on domestic and international structuring and tax planning for corporations, partnerships, limited liability companies and other pass-through entities. Mr. Schroeder also has significant experience representing taxpayers through all aspects of tax audits, appeals, competent authority matters and the tax issues associated with chapter 11 bankruptcy. He provides legal advice on complex domestic and international mergers and acquisitions, dispositions, global tax planning, corporate restructurings, leveraged buyouts, private equity transactions, the tax aspects of securities offerings and like-kind exchanges.
