Hong Kong, 16 June 2010 – Baker & McKenzie has been voted "Best Legal Adviser, Asia" in a survey of "Best Investment Banks 2010" published in
Global Finance magazine. The survey was designed by
Global Finance with input from industry experts to recognise those financial institutions and their legal advisors that are helping their customers to grow and succeed.
The judging criteria considered "market share, customer service and advice, deal-structuring capabilities, distribution network and staff dedicated to investment banking." The Survey also considered financial institutions' "efforts to overcome difficult market conditions, pricing and after-market performance of underwritten securities, and market reputation."
Speaking about the results of the survey, Stephen Eno, head of Baker & McKenzie's Asia Pacific Banking & Finance practice and partner in the Firm's Hong Kong office, said, " We are delighted that so many of our clients across the globe have been commended in this Survey and are honored to be named among such prestigious institutions. Partnering with our clients, we have been involved in some of the most significant transactions in the Asia Pacific region despite challenging market conditions. This award recognises our innovative and high-quality services, the depth of our regional network and most importantly our enduring commitment to our investment bank clients in the areas of securities, mergers and acquisitions and debt financing.”
