Clive Cook has the management responsibility for Baker & McKenzie Wong & Leow and has 15 years of experience with Baker & McKenzie. Prior to relocating to Singapore, he led one of the London-based core corporate groups and served for three years on the London management committee. He mainly handles mergers and acquisitions as well as equity capital markets work.

Mr. Cook’s practice spans domestic corporate finance, M&A, joint ventures, venture capital, privatizations and international securities transactions. He acted in a private placement of shares in a Qatari based investment bank raising USD500 million.

Representative Legal Matters

• Advising on a private placement of shares in a Qatari based investment bank, raising USD500 million. 
• Advised EcoSecurities Group plc, an Irish carbon credit company on an initial public offering (pursuant to Rule 144A and Regulation S) of shares. The shares were listed on the AIM market of the London Stock exchange and raised GBP54 million. 
• Advised Hrvatske Telekomunijacije d.d. (Croatia Telecom) in an offering pursuant to Rule 144A and Regulation S by the Republic of Croatia of shares and GDRs in Croatia Telecom. The GDRs were admitted to trading on the London Stock Exchange and the proceeds from the transaction were USD1.1 billion. 
• Advised the Government of Croatia on the USD850 million sale of a strategic stake (35%) in Hrvatske Telekomunijacije d.d. to Deutsche Telekom. 
• Advised Climate Change Capital in relation to their participation in and structuring of a Clean Development Mechanism Project in the Republic of China and the purchase and syndication of CERs pursuant to that project. 
• Advised the Jordan Company on its disposal of Russian cable group UCN.
