Today the President signed into law the America Invents Act -- the first major overhaul to the US patent system since 1952. The legislation includes changes in the sections of patent law relating to inventorship, novelty, patent-challenge mechanisms, litigation joinder and defenses such as best mode and prior commercial use, and more. Our partners have been closely following this legislation over the six years in which Congress has considered different patent reform proposals.
This webinar reviews the highlights of the legislation and provides practical guidelines for dealing with the resulting changes to the patent law.
