Vanessa Hempel joined the Munich office of Baker & McKenzie in January 2005. Admitted as an attorney practicing in the area of labor and employment law, Ms. Hempel currently serves as member of the Firm’s Employment Practice Group in Munich. She regularly contributes articles related to employment law and frequently presents seminars on employment issues and employees’ data protection for external providers, as well as in-house seminars and trainings for national and international companies.
Practice Focus
Ms. Hempel advises companies on all labor and employment as well as immigration related matters, particularly in relation to reorganizations, mergers and acquisitions, mass dismissals and negotiations with works councils. She also advises companies on hiring, seconding and terminating CEOs and other employees, and provides assistance in the structuring and implementation of global mobility projects with regard to employment and immigration laws. Ms. Hempel also helps clients to ensure employees’ data protection. Additionally, Ms. Hempel represents companies in German labor courts.
