Our Corporate Tax lawyers advise on all aspects of corporate and business taxation and much of our work is of an international nature. Our team, which includes full time economists, transfer pricing and VAT advisors, frequently work in close cooperation with tax lawyers in other Baker & McKenzie offices in connection with cross-border transactions and the structuring of cross-border investment.
As well as advising on the UK tax aspects of international projects, the London Tax Department has particular experience in the coordination of tax advice from many countries in multijurisdictional projects such as international group structuring and mergers and acquisitions.
One significant area of practice for the team is corporate inversions — notably into the UK from the US, Bermuda or elsewhere. Baker & McKenzie has acted, with respect to tax, on all major corporate inversions into the UK that are in the public domain.
